Short version: no accounts, no ads, no tracking cookies. Your numbers stay in your browser unless you ask the tutor a question.
Calculations
Every calculator, chart and simulation runs in your browser with JavaScript. The numbers you type are not sent to our server.
What is saved on your device
To save retyping, ProbViz stores a few things in your browser's local storage: the data set you last pasted into the descriptive tools (shared between the standard deviation, histogram and similar pages), the x and y values on the regression page, and your Monty Hall win record. They never leave your device.
The AI tutor
If you press a tutor button or type a question, your question and a short summary of the inputs and results on that page are sent to our server and passed to an AI model through Vercel's AI Gateway to generate an answer. We do not store your questions. Do not include personal information in questions.
Analytics
We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and does not build a profile of you.
